Cody's New Doo

Iknow most of you will look at these pictures and think, "does your mom know?" and the answer is yes. Cody has been wanting to do this for a long time and he turned 17 on the 18th of December so I thought what the heck if it gives him a boost of confidence it is fine with me. People are too quick to judge anyway, Cody is an awesome kid and I have no reason to worry just because he wants a slightly radical hair-doo, he is still teddy bear cody on the inside. I also put a couple pictures of Caleb he is holding Guy's new puppy "Roxy" we were baby sitting when Caleb was home sick.

Remembering Aunt Caudie

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT TWILA, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!
Today my Aunt Twila (who from the time I was 2 I called Aunt Caudie because I couldn't say Twila) would be 68? I am remembering her today with laughter and tears, laughter because she was the funniest person I knew and tears because I miss her. For those of you who didn't know her, she had a knack for cracking you up. One of my favorite memories was when I was about 11 years old I had gone to California to visit and while I was there my appendix burst, that part wasn't funny but I had a tummy full of stitches and she came to see me after the surgery and I had to have the nurses make her leave because it hurt too much to laugh and she didn't know how to not be funny, she didn't have to say anything and I would laugh. I am so glad my kids got to know Aunt Twila whom they will only remember as Aunt Twiller because of one of her hysterical stories about a phone solicitor who got her name wrong, I can't talk about her to them without that story coming up. I miss you Aunt Caudie and I know you are dancing and singing in Heaven with Gram and Uncle Rick and Sammy and all of the others who have gone before us, I love you and I know we will laugh together again someday. XOXOX

TURKEY BOWL 2009

Every year for about 8 years now The guys in our family get together on Thanksgiving morning to play flag football, most recently though because of previous injuries during turkey bowl my husband Gary has sat this year out. But these guys range in age from 9 up to 48 (not recommended). Usually a good time is had by all but unfortunately this year did not go without a serious injury. My brother guy was hurt in a collision with my oldest son Cody, he was initially knocked unconscious only briefly to open his eyes and realize he could not move, after laying there for several minutes he was able to move his legs and then eventually his arms and the rest of his body. Like the crazy man that he is he drove several kids home and then drove himself to the hospital where he remained on a backboard until around 5:30 pm. He is still having significant pain and he has trouble using his right arm. We would appreciate your prayers for Guy as we pray for a full recovery. I am putting in some pictures of the times of turkey bowl before the event was ended with Guy's injury.

Hi All it has seemed like forever since I have been able to post, but the computer is up and running, however we lost everything. It could be worse. I am going to do my first post since being gone on our fun trip to Great Wolf Lodge. Gary and I and the boys and their two friends they have know since Kindergarten went to GWL for one night, we had a blast. One day is enough, I have never been put through so much pain while having fun, but that wave pool took a toll on this body.

Fun Was Had By All

We had a great day at the car show. Caleb's best friend Janty was up from California and they had tons of fun. We played Bocchi Ball and as always my brother had to show his funny antics, that boy is crazy! We ended our fun day with a stop at Krispie Cream ( That place is a death trap for dieters). God is good and brought us all home safely.

Happy Fathers Day To All You Daddy's

Today is Fathers Day and Sadly a day that my Beloved Grandma was taken to be with Jesus we will always miss you Gram and Love you forever. Our family has a tradition that has been going on for 16 years, we go to a car show in Graham and we have a picnic and make a day of it, usually a really good time, this year the weather seems to want to put a damper on it but we will trudge on. Caleb and his dad decided to take apart Caleb's bike and paint it so I thought it would be good pics to put in my Fathers Day Blog. Enjoy your day Daddy's!!!!!

Cody's Newspaper Awards Night

Cody had a Newspaper awards ceremony last night where he recieved Kudo's for working so hard. They also gave out Spoof awards and no suprise to us who know Cody, he got the person with the Best Taste In Food (He loves his food). I think Cody found his niche, he had alot of fun being a reporter for the school paper and he will continue next year, look for more bragging from a very proud Momma. The picture is of Cody and his Teacher.

Our 17th Anniversary

Gary and I celebrated our 17th year of marriage on June 13th, who would've thought? Where does time go? We went to a very nice restaurant called Palisades in Magnolia, we were joined by Gary's parents who by the way are celebrating their 50th this July. We had a really wonderful evening.

Funny Story

I was coming home from Fred Meyer the other night and as I was approaching the intersection of a very busy road I saw a bunch of cop cars with lights flashing across the street at a gas station I was so intrigued as I have always been with cop cars and ambulances anyhoo I guess I gawked a little too long and before I knew it my lane had went from two to one and I had proceeded to drive over 3 huge Orange Traffic Cones, you know the ones that are so orange and huge even Mr. Magoo could see them, Those 3 cones became wedge under my car so as I drove through the intersection where all the cops were that is all you could hear was the thump thump thump of the cones, I quickly pulled over yes in the same gas station as all of the cops were at and got under my car and pulled the smashed down cones out and tried to put them to the side so as not draw attention to myself. I am quite sure that numerous other drivers got a good laugh for the night. HeeHee

Theresa's Birthday

Tonight I hosted Bible Study at my house and we celebrated Theresa one of the girls in our groups Birthday. I decided to make an IceCream cake that I had seen on the cover of a magazine and had made one time before. The cake turned out pretty good, however I forgot to take a picture until we were half way done. But I was so proud of my cake I thought I would put a picture of it and it also gives me something to blog about. On a side note all the girls loved my Temari so I think there will be orders coming your way shi.

Nathan's 9th Birthday

we celebrated our little guy (quite literally little guy, he is just like his dad) Nathan's 9th birthday Friday. The poor little guy had been sick the whole week leading up to his b'day and he still wasn't feeling up to par. We had some pizza, opened some presents and ate some cake. We had a good time.

A Fun Trip

My friend Joannie and I took a trip to LaGrande Oregon to see my niece Amelia's Art Exhibit, with the exception of a severe tooth ache, we had a blast. I so enjoyed visiting with my cousin Shiela and Amelia (what a beautiful and talented young woman) On the trip to and fro we listened to the Shack (highly recommended). We also had the chance to stop on the way home and take some pictures and we were lucky enough to stop in Selah and chat wit my cousin Amy and her son Eli, we got some good pics of Eli getting his face painted.
