18 Years Together

gary and I celebrated 18 years together June 13th. We were lucky enough to have my cousins Amy and Eli here for a visit. We went out to dinner at Mamma Stortini's with my parents, Amy and Eli. The food was great, the company was better, we had alot of fun. Fortunately for us Amy always has her camera in tow and she took a picture of us so that I can add it to my blog.

GOD'S AMAZING COLORS

I haven't had alot to blog about lately, but the other morning I was looking out my kitchen window as I was getting the boys breakfast and I was awestruck by the amazing Sunrise. God has blessed us so much in these trying times of financial hardship and the health of Gary's parents but in the midst of it God is everpresent. I am so Thankful that He is faithful in all that we go through daily. I hope you enjoy the sunrise as much as I did (for all you Photographers like Shiela and Amy) this is the best my little camera could do. For those of you who have been praying for Gary's parents Thank-You, they are bothe on the mend and doing very well.

My Boys... My How They've Grown

I am so happy to report that I got my computer up and running and Praise God it cost me nothing and it is working better than ever.

Here are a few pics of the boys I thought I would share, they are growing up soooo fast. Cody is 6'2" and he is in his Junior year in high school, Caleb is 5'5 plus and he is in his eighth grade year of school. They are both doing well in school and in life.

Cody's New Doo

Iknow most of you will look at these pictures and think, "does your mom know?" and the answer is yes. Cody has been wanting to do this for a long time and he turned 17 on the 18th of December so I thought what the heck if it gives him a boost of confidence it is fine with me. People are too quick to judge anyway, Cody is an awesome kid and I have no reason to worry just because he wants a slightly radical hair-doo, he is still teddy bear cody on the inside. I also put a couple pictures of Caleb he is holding Guy's new puppy "Roxy" we were baby sitting when Caleb was home sick.

Remembering Aunt Caudie

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT TWILA, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!
Today my Aunt Twila (who from the time I was 2 I called Aunt Caudie because I couldn't say Twila) would be 68? I am remembering her today with laughter and tears, laughter because she was the funniest person I knew and tears because I miss her. For those of you who didn't know her, she had a knack for cracking you up. One of my favorite memories was when I was about 11 years old I had gone to California to visit and while I was there my appendix burst, that part wasn't funny but I had a tummy full of stitches and she came to see me after the surgery and I had to have the nurses make her leave because it hurt too much to laugh and she didn't know how to not be funny, she didn't have to say anything and I would laugh. I am so glad my kids got to know Aunt Twila whom they will only remember as Aunt Twiller because of one of her hysterical stories about a phone solicitor who got her name wrong, I can't talk about her to them without that story coming up. I miss you Aunt Caudie and I know you are dancing and singing in Heaven with Gram and Uncle Rick and Sammy and all of the others who have gone before us, I love you and I know we will laugh together again someday. XOXOX

TURKEY BOWL 2009

Every year for about 8 years now The guys in our family get together on Thanksgiving morning to play flag football, most recently though because of previous injuries during turkey bowl my husband Gary has sat this year out. But these guys range in age from 9 up to 48 (not recommended). Usually a good time is had by all but unfortunately this year did not go without a serious injury. My brother guy was hurt in a collision with my oldest son Cody, he was initially knocked unconscious only briefly to open his eyes and realize he could not move, after laying there for several minutes he was able to move his legs and then eventually his arms and the rest of his body. Like the crazy man that he is he drove several kids home and then drove himself to the hospital where he remained on a backboard until around 5:30 pm. He is still having significant pain and he has trouble using his right arm. We would appreciate your prayers for Guy as we pray for a full recovery. I am putting in some pictures of the times of turkey bowl before the event was ended with Guy's injury.
